Ingredients
- 400g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add remaining oil. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, stir-frying for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
